Remarks on Hagedorn Behaviour, old and new

After a short review of physical aspects of strings at high temperature, we will discuss two-dimensional TT-bar deformed CFTs, which exhibit a Hagedorn spectrum at high energies, and show that this Hagedorn phase is thermodynamically unstable, calling for the existence of some UV completion for the TT-bar deformed theory.
