Description
One of the overriding themes in present day nuclear physics is the exploration of nuclear structure far from the line of beta-stability. Of particular interest are those systems with the most extreme N/Z ratios which lie at or beyond the driplines. In this seminar the probes of “knockout” and fragmentation, as well as transfer reactions with energetic radioactive beams will be presented in the context of the investigation of unbound states in light, neutron-rich nuclei. In particular, examples taken from recent work using the CHARISSA+DEMON arrays (knockout and fragmentation) and the TiaRA silicon-array (transfer) will be discussed.
