The Axion Quark Nugget (AQN) dark matter model suggests that axions, with masses between 10^−6 eV and 10^−3 eV and velocities around 0.6c, could be emitted by AQNs when they move through the Earth. This model predicts substantial daily modulations (10-20%) in the axion flux on Earth, differing from the smaller modulations expected in traditional WIMP models. These daily modulations could significantly impact axion detection strategies. The CAST-CAPP detector was used to search for such modulations, but temperature-dependent gain drifts and other factors prevented conclusive results. However, this study provides a valuable input  for future research in detecting relativistic Dark Matter axions.

We encourage participants in the COST action to send us a small summary, typically smaller than the abstract, of their own articles that will appear in the arXiv (after they appear, with their arXiv numbers). The summary will be disseminated in the newsletter.
