XXII Giorgio Careri Memorial's Lecture.

People love to cite Einstein's famous quote, "The significant problems we face today cannot be solved at the same level of thinking at which they were created", but quite rarely we are addressed what this new level of thinking should look like. In this lecture, I will talk about a comprehensive language able to face complexity in a range of diverse fields. Some of the keywords we will encounter during the lecture might be Sustainability, Emergy (spelled with "m"), Cancer, Bioenergy, SDGs, Thermodynamics, Scientific culture, Stock & Flow diagrams.
