Abstract

The seminar offers an overview of data analysis and artificial intelligence techniques applicable to practical and scientific purposes, from the neural networks used in classification and regression problems to the most recent developments in the field of generative artificial intelligence. The process of continuous exchange and interdependence between fundamental research and the technological industry is highlighted by drawing inspiration from concrete examples and outlining an excursus on the mathematical bases of the most modern techniques.
