Description

Welcome to the first edition of the AI-INFN User Forum, a two-day event (11-12 June 2024) to be held in Bologna, and aimed to collect and discuss scientific use cases involving machine learning techniques and hardware accelerator technologies (e.g., FPGAs, Quantum Computers) for INFN applications.

Join the Forum in Bologna

We encourage both researchers and technologists to take part in the Forum. The aim is to discuss new ideas for your research activity with other machine learning experts and learn best practices to take the most from the current setup of AI-INFN resources. If you have experienced some issues accessing/using such resources or you still have doubts about how to get the most from GPUs, then the Forum is the best place to discuss it!

Registration is closed, we cannot wait to meet you in Bologna!

The timetable is available on the dedicated page.

Submit your contribution

Due to the heterogeneity of the studies carried out by the various INFN units and research areas, we encourage a bottom-up approach for the agenda definition, instead of indicating predefined tracks. A non-exhaustive list of possible contributions includes:

  • Density estimation
  • Anomaly detection
  • Fast detector simulation
  • Image analysis and processing
  • Natural language analysis and processing
  • Physics-informed systems
  • Quantum machine learning
  • Hardware accelerator technologies

Considering the time slots available, we plan to have up to ~20 contributions, selected to offer the broadest possible overview of the activities under investigation across the various INFN units.

The call for abstracts is closed, thanks to all the contributors!

The complete list of contributions is available on the dedicated page.
