PTOLEMY is an ongoing project aiming at putting stringent bounds on the neutrino mass, as well detecting the elusive cosmic neutrino background. To achieve this, the PTOLEMY team is designing and building a specialized detector that can precisely study the near-end-point regione of the beta spectrum of tritium, deposited on a solid state substrate.

The PTOLEMY collaboration meetings provide an opportunity for the team members to review progress on the project and assess its status in light of the ultimate goal of building a functioning PTOLEMY demonstrator. During this meeting, particular attention will be given to the sensitivity study to the neutrino mass, with emphasis on possible experimental ways to validate the theory predictions.

This collaboration meeting is hosted by the Pollica Physics Centre.

Note: there is a registration fee of €165.

The registration fee will cover local transportation, lunches and two coffee breaks per day.

Moreover, due to the limited number of rooms, there is a hard cap to 41 participants, unless someone is willing to share a room (with separate beds).
