For the past fourteen years, the International Neutrino Summer School (INSS) has convened at locations around the world to provide training for the next generation of neutrino physicists in both theory and experiment. The school brings together graduate students and postdocs, along with some of the best teachers and researchers in neutrino physics, to create an intensive two-week-long learning experience in an open and interactive environment that covers the full range of modern neutrino physics.
The list of topics and confirmed lecturers will include:
The School will also feature a series of topical colloquia, intended as special lectures on hot topics in the field:
Moreover, soft-skills and transversal formation activities will be provided, including on EDI (Equity, Diversity and Inclusion), Science communication, Scientific writing.
Students will also engage in group projects and presentations, and have opportunity to present individual posters on their current research. Ample time will be provided to meet and socialize with other students and instructors outside of scheduled school activities.
The 15th INSS 2024 will be hosted on June 3rd at room G. Prodi, in the monumental complex of San Giovanni in Monte in the city center of Bologna and at DIFA, via Irnerio 46, Bologna, Italy from June 4th to June 14th, 2024. Check the "Venue" section for more details.
In the spirit of supporting promising students coming from a disadvantaged background, we also open registrations for remote participation. The remote registration amounts to a very low fee (50 € for the full two weeks of school) and will allow students to follow all the lectures of the school remotely.
Registration deadline: April 30, 2024 (early fee) - May 15, 2024 (late fee) - No deadline for remote attendance.
Registration fee: 650 € (early registration fee); 750 € (late registration fee); 50 € (remote attendance).
The fee covers all coffee breaks, social events, the banquet and organisational costs of the school.
If you are interested to attend, but you are unable to do so for proven and objective reasons, please contact the organisers at inss2024@lists.bo.infn.it to inquire about possible solutions. Limited financial support is available in exceptional circumstances.
Further details on the curriculum, lodging, travel, social events, etc., will be added to this page when available.

Invisibles24 logo realisation: V. Conti and A. Granelli. Part of the letter N in the acronym INSS24 is represented by a stylisation of the Garisenda and Asinelli towers, symbols of the city of Bologna, and is also meant to recall the greek letter , often used to indicate neutrinos.
