Description

After recalling the early days of ’t Hooft topological expansion of
large-N QCD, we review its nonperturbative renormalization properties and
the short-distance asymptotics of the spectral representation of 2-point
correlators in more recent years, and discuss their compatibility with the
existence of a conjectured string solution.

Moreover, we present our most recent computation of the short-distance
asymptotics of the generating functional of all the correlators of twist-2
operators in large-N Yang-Mills theory and its novel implications
requiring a refinement of ’t Hooft topological expansion.
