The ”Present and future perspectives in Hadron Physics “ workshop will be dedicated to the memory of Professor Carlo Guaraldo from INFN-LNF, who passed away on 19th May 2024 in Rome, at the age of 85.
Carlo Guaraldo was a key figure and a pillar in the long history of hadron physics in Europe, having coordinated between 2004 and 2014 the long series of Hadron Physics, Hadron Physics2 and Hadron Physics3 successful projects, and being the Deputy Scientific Coordinator for the well recognized STRONG-2020 project, as well as member of the Executive and the Coordination Boards.
A multifaceted personality and a man of great culture, Carlo Guaraldo significantly contributed to the development and growth of Hadron Physics and its community across Europe and worldwide and to shaping various generations of young researchers, some of them presently well recognized scientists.
All the STRONG-2020 remember him with great affection.
The “Present and future perspectives in Hadron Physics” workshop will be kicked off with a commemorative talk by Dr. Catalina Curceanu, senior researcher at the INFN Laboratories of Frascati and close collaborator of Prof. Guaraldo for more than 30 years.
