Description

We will have our usual Pheno Journal Club on March 9th at 2.00pm in Aula Touschek (second floor of Marconi building at Sapienza: map). In the first part we will discuss interesting papers that recently appeared in the arXiv, while in the second one Joshua Hoffer will give us an overview about ‘Hadron properties from functional methods’, find the abstract below.

Abstract: The existence of hadrons is an inherent feature of the theory of strong interactions (QCD). Hadrons emerge in the low-energy, non-perturbative regime of QCD and there are a lot of different and complementary approaches to study their properties. In my talk, I will focus on the functional approach using a combination of Dyson-Schwinger and Bethe-Salpeter Equations to investigate the properties of hadrons. I will provide a brief overview over the method and also display some results achieved using this framework as well as shortly discuss my own research project which focuses on four-quark states.

Aula Touschek is booked from 12pm until the end of the day for participants coming from Tor Vergata, Roma 3 and LNF.
