Quantum computing is revolutionizing the computing landscape. Qubits, the primary computing elements of a quantum computer, are disturbed by both intrinsic noise and external noise, due to natural radiation. Radiation faults are much more harmful and frequent on qubits than on traditional transistor-based bits, have a much more complex fault model, and could actually question the large adoption of quantum machines. We will present the latest discoveries about radiation fault generation in qubit and the Quantum Fault Injector (QuFI) we have designed to study the propagation of transient faults in quantum circuits, enabling a deep analysis on the radiation sensitivity of circuits and qubits.
