        Discussion about SCD mechanics 1h

        - Discussion about the removal of the side-SCD beam. EM thinks is possible and will run some simulations that will have results by mid-September. Stiffness may be guaranteed by changing the gap size. A change in the spacing between silicon layers may affect track angular resolution, which should be evaluated.

        -  Discussion about the removal of the top-SCD cross. It would be better to remove it for physics purposes, but it seems more difficult. EM will also try some simulations.

        - RJW tells that the general requirement for the mechanical design has been to have the fundamental frequency above 70 Hz for the full system.

        - WP: we need also a thermal design, that should be started.

        - Debris shield, which is important for both mechanics and thermal, and has also important implications for SCD physics potential. We would like to have more information about it.
