Current commercial PET and SPECT systems have significantly improved interms of image quality and the ability to estimate activity concentration. However, there are limitations in the current systems and other sources of error that limit the current capabilities in measurements of activity concentration. In this presentation we will explore some of those limitations and the current publicly stated directions of commercial developers to address those limitations.
