Minutes:
Sushanta:
- Best fit for HM multiplicity distribution for the CR 2 Mode of pythia is Nch(V0M)=135 (99.6% loss)
- close to the 127 from EPOS
- HM pp data @13TeV are reproduced very poorly with this Mode and HM trigger (~100% overshoot at lot pT)
- With Monash tune the best fit Nch(V0M)=157 (99.995% loss)
- HM pp data @13TeV are reproduced almost perfectly
- From now on use Monash with HM tune for coalescence studies (requires much more statistics to be produced, but its fast to do)
- To do: Get the multiplicity distributions public, before ICHEP so we can use the figures there and for the paper (High priority!)
Luca:
- EPOS productions at Virgo (GSI) cluster are progressing well
- 300M events by the end of the month
- locally we already have 100M (ROOT 5) and 30M that should be additionally finished by the end of the month
- LRZ production is slow with only very few partitions accessible for us and a very limited number of Jobs allowed to be submitted
- However Ante managed to start jobs which create 100s of subjobs. This way more jobs can be run on the LRZ farm
- Statistics ~2M per day which would add up to ~50M by the end of the month
- Ask Ludwig Maier together with Ante (and Laura in CC) for a temporary increase of partitions
Bhawani:
- The 10% approximation (using D(q)*exp(-iqr) instead of D(q,r)) is not valid for pp when compared to the exact solutions by Kachelrieß
- No way around doing the actual calculation which might be difficult/impossible as pointed out in literature
Maxi:
- Started working on the new source model
- Implement the measured core source size with a homogeneous increase of the source keeping the angle between the distance vector and the momenta the same
- Move the primordials and add the decays afterwards
- measure the distance after propagation to equal times
- Paper-review by Shao et al.:
- Coalescence model seems to have some problems
- They only use the output of the AMPT model without any corrections to measurements (most importantly the source size)
