ACCOMMODATION

The workshop will be hosted at the Hotel Barolo, located in the nice small village of Barolo, surrounded by the amazing vineyard landscape of Piedmont Langhe-Roero and Monferrato, UNESCO world heritage.

The total cost for full-board accommodation with meals amounts to €120/night for a single room (€480 for the whole workshop period) and €100/person/night for a double room (€400/person for the whole workshop period), plus €1.5/day of tourist tax. It will be paid by the attendants directly to the hotel on the last day of accommodation.  However attendees should not make hotel reservations - the workshop organizers will reserve accommodations for all participants.

 

HOW TO REACH THE VENUE

From Torino to Barolo and back:

Two shuttle buses will be organized for the connection Torino-Barolo on the day of arrival, Tuesday afternoon, one in the late morning (leaving at 11.45am from Caselle airport) and one in the afternoon (leaving at 3.30pm from Caselle airport). Participants will be picked up either at the Torino Caselle airport or at the Torino Porta Susa train station. At the end of the workshop (Saturday morning) a shuttle service will bring participants back, stopping at around 11.30am at the Torino Porta Susa train station and at noon at the Torino Caselle airport.


How to get to Torino:
By plane: The closest airport is the Caselle Torino airport. People might consider also the Milano Malpensa airport (that it is connected to the Torino Porta Susa train station by a SADEM bus taking approximately two hours).

By train: If you come by train, please stop at the Torino Porta Susa train station: this is where the shuttle service will pick you up. For more information, see the train timetable.

By car: You can consider to reach Barolo by car. Car rental services are available at the Caselle Torino airport.
