Latest results of the CUORE experiment

Description

Whether neutrinos are Majorana particles, their mass hierarchy and scale, and lepton number violation are related open questions in modern astro-particle physics. The discovery of neutrino-less double beta decay would address all of them at once.  CUORE is the first bolometric experiment that has been able to reach the tonne scale. The detector consists of an array of 988 TeO2 cryogenic calorimeter crystals operated underground at ~10 mK temperature in a state-of-the-art dilution refrigerator. We report the latest results of 130Te double beta decay search and background measurement with 1 tonne x yr.
