Description
The dynamics of non abelian gauge theories is rich, from confinement to asymptotic freedom. QCD is a known example. What happens when we vary the matter content of the theory? Conformal symmetry emerges again as a result of the modified dynamics. What has to be understood is how this precisely happens, and where in parameter space. I will review recent progress and challenges, and what all this has to do with the physics at the LHC.
