Tracking charged particles in high-energy physics experiments is of primary importance. High efficiency, © and momentum resolution are the basic requirements. Moreover reliability, radiation tolerance and low material budget are also needed. Some solutions adopted by present or future planned experiments (LHCb, NA62, PANDA) will be illustrated with particular care to electronics related problems
