Description
Within the framework of the Spes Project, the development of highly porous ceramics is a topic of great interest in order to improve the target release efficiency.
Among other properties, such as grain size, porosity, interconnectivity degree, gas permeability is supposed to be a predicting measurement for the material behaviour in releasing isotopic species.
An overview of the technique for gas permeability measurements, of the experimental apparatus built at LNL and of the first performed measurements will be presented.
