I will review several recent results for SU(N) gauge-fermion theories in the large number of flavours Nf regime in which asymptotic freedom is lost. Using known all-order perturbative series in the large Nf, I will argue for the possible existence of an ultraviolet interacting fixed point at sufficiently large number of flavours realising the asymptotic safety scenario. As a further test for the safe scenario, recent resummation method to deal with divergent series, which gives access to the non-perturbative regime of any QFT from the first few known coefficients in the perturbative expansion, will be applied. Emergence of renormalons in such theories will be also reviewed.
