Description
The nuclear level density is one of the important nuclear propertiesus which tells us about the nuclear structure. Also, the level density is the most uncertain input in nuclear reaction calculatrions. I will review the current status of the experimental study of the nuclear level density and outline remaining problems. Recent experimental results obtained at Edwards Accelerator Laboratory of Ohio University and possible future experiments will be discussed.
