Description

After the constraint on the speed of gravitational waves (GW) from GW170817/GRB170817A event, a large class of modified gravity theories are still viable, which changes the amplitude damping of GW propagation.

However, testing numerous theories one by one would be challenging. I will introduce a generalized framework, and our prescription to test the gravity theories in a model-independent way. As an application, I will show the model parameter distributions in the viable generalized scalar-tensor theories, the correlations of the parameters, and the possibility for testing the models in the future observations, especially GW, screening mechanism and gravitational lensing.
