1. Time line and activities plan
Eugenio proposes a time line for the Full Simulation Winter production (see his presentantion).
Francesco suggests to decouples the background frame production (to be started as soon as possible)
from the Full Simulation production. Andrea agrees and stress the necessity to have an adequate
model of the IR for the "background frame" production as soon as possible.
2. SVT
They needs some more kinematical informations from Bruno (see his presentation).
Riccardo already wrote and tested the code to persist these data.
The code is not yet committed into SVN (to be checked if minor clashes with third parts commits are presents )
Andrea and Riccardo will investigate off-line the possibility to gather the extra-informations from the MC truth by
a proper configuration of the jobs. If a viable solution is not found by this mean, the software developments
made by Riccardo will be merged into the present Bruno trunk.
3. DCH
Giuseppe proposes to modify the material of the DCH endplates. Additional information at the G4hit level
truth map are not necessary at present.
4. PID
Nicolas introduces Leonid who is going to work on the full simulation of the PID.
Welcome to Leonid who sent to Eugenio a GDML description of the forward PID. Doug, Leonid and Eugenio
will try to capture in the simulation the forward PID, and the new DIRC readout.
5. EMC
Stefano reports that some overlaps are still presents in the forward calorimeter.
He will investigate how harmful / easily fixable they are.
Stefano asks if we are going to use the "packaged" version of Bruno.
Andrea believes that in this time scale we will still use the monolithic Bruno version.
He stresses the fact that the Bruno code have to be considered already "feature-freezed",
only bug fixes, and minor modifications ( Eugenio's off-line interpretation: persistency of some information )
are allowed at this time.
6. Production tools
Andrea gives a short presentation on the Summer production experience. He is confident that the new graphical
interface will be ready for the Winter production, but anyway the command line interface should be adequate for
the Winter production.
He made Valgrind tests on the present Bruno release in the "background frame" operation mode.
Just one memory leak per job is present (a rather impressive figure of merit).
Next meeting is fixed for December the 16th at 4:00 P.M. Central European Time.
Action items:
- Andrea will point the Sub Detector contact persons to the wiki page that describe how to run and understand the G4 geometry
check
- Riccardo and Andrea will decide how to proceed with the extra informations needed for g4 hit digitization
- Doug, Leonid and Eugenio will put the forward PID into and the new DIRC readout into the present GDML model
- Andrea and Eugenio will keep in touch with the Book Keeping group to describes our requirements
- Eugenio will post as soon as possible the agenda for the Decembter the 16th meeting
