Description

In many condensed matter systems, the strongly coupled electronic fluid tends to spontaneously break translational symmetry, giving rise to a Charge Density Wave (CDW). Gauge/Gravity duality can be used to study some properties otherwise not accessible by field theory approaches. We will see how to study the transport properies of a CDW by using a class of holographic models.
