After an open exchange about the novelties on hep-th and on recent papers that
attracted your attention (please bring references), Anton Faedo will lead a
discussion on
Title: Horava gravity
Abstract: We will discuss Horava's proposal for a Quantum Theory of
gravity. We will introduce the model motivating the main points of the
construction and remarking the peculiarities with respect to other
approaches. Weaknesses and polemic issues will be also emphasized.
Finally we will try to mention possible ways out for the problems,
applications beyond a model for quantum gravity (non-relativistic
ads/cft...) and new directions of investigation.
