Description
The emergence of ultra-thin Van der Waals (VdW) materials has enabled pursuing a versatile ultra-compact and flexible technology in nanophotonics. In this talk, I will discuss different aspects of our on-going works on the tunability of the optical properties of VdW materials*: [1]* In-plane hyperbolic phonon-polaritons propagation in a natural crystal featuring record lifetime values*; [2]* Our recent progress on the active tuning of phonon-polaritons propagation and single photons*'* properties from monolayers.
