Transportation
The meeting venue can be reached as follows.
- By plane to the Roma Leonardo da Vinci Fiumicino airport (FCO), and from there using the meeting bus transportation (see below for details).
- By plane to the Pisa airport (PSA). In this case you have to continue to the Pisa Centrale train station (the Pisa Mover can be used, ticket price 2.70 Euro), and from there you can go by train to Piombino Marittima, and continue as described in the next item.
- By train to Piombino Marittima, and from there by ferry-boat to Portoferraio. A meeting shuttle will be available upon request to transport the participants to the meeting site from the Portoferraio harbour.
- By car to Piombino, by ferry-boat to Portoferraio, and again by car from Portoferraio to La Biodola (10km). Since parking is limited at the Hotel Hermitage, we encourage participants to use the meeting buses as much as possible.
