DNA-guided Assembly of Nanosystems

I will discuss our recent progress in a fabrication of well-defined hybrid structures containing DNA and inorganic particles. I will discuss how DNA can be engaged in addressable interactions of inorganic nano-components, and how morphology of self-organized structures can be regulated. For example, by tailoring interplay of specific recognition interactions and non-specific physical effects we have demonstrated an ability to control assembly kinetics, clustering, and internal structure of DNA-capped nanoparticle assemblies.
