Description
Remarkable progress has been made recently regarding the computation of scattering amplitudes in planar N=4 Super Yang-Mills theories. In particular, the ansatz by Bern, Dixon and Smirnov (BDS) for an amplitude to any number of loops and legs was shown to reproduce the two and three-loop four-point amplitudes as well as the two-loop five-point amplitude, but it fails in the finite term for the amplitude with six external legs. I will review the BDS ansatz and discuss where information on the remainder function for n-6 could be obtained.
