- detailing the WBS activities:
The Canadian groups confirm their commitment to contributing to the design of the mechanical structure. After performing measurements to define a set of possible gas mixtures to examine (and study how well Magboltz is capable of describing them), they also intend to build a long prototype to study the cluster counting.
- discussion on endplate shape and position of SVT/DCH boundary:
. ask Matteo to repeat the studies shown at the last DGWG meeting with 6 SVT layers;
. explore how spherical/conical/wedding-cake endplates can be described inside the fastsim;
- for the axial+stereo vs. stereo issue, we need to understand how to simulate the 1st level trigger to explore the various possibilities.
- we need to interact with the ETD (Electronics/Trigger/DAQ) group as soon as possible to insure that the "philosophy" decisions which are being taken are OK with our needs.
- Once more, we need to have the background hits simulated ASAP, because this is a major ingredient in the DCH optimization.
