Description
NOA (Nuova Officina Assergi) is a new facility that INFN plans to build and operate at LNGS.
It includes several branches, ranging from material screening with Inductively Coupled
Plasma Mass Spectroscopy (ICP-MS) to Additive Manufacturing.
One of the most important part of NOA is the large clean room ( ~ 250 m2) devoted to the
packaging of silicon detectors, deserving cutting edge technology equipments.
The Darkside - 20k experiment is expected to be the first NOA user and provided therefore a relevant contribution to the NOA TDR, including the equipment specifications to package ~125,000 SiPMs in 2 years.
After a short introduction on Darkside-20k and the SiPM working principles, the main features of
the NOA clean-room, the technical solutions foreseen and the planned work-flow will be presented.
