Description
In this talk I discuss how effective field theory techniques which are commonly used in high energy physics can be adapted to quantum gravity. I show that an effective theory approach to quantum gravity combined with perturbative unitarity techniques can lead to interesting insights into the energy scale of quantum gravity. One interesting feature of our investigation is the appearance of non-local effects around the Planck scale.
