Venues

The workshop will take place at Padova.



On May 22nd and 23rd, the workshop will be held in the "Nievo" room of Palazzo del Bo (the University of Padua), Via VIII Febbraio, 2.

On May 24th and 25th, the workshop will continue its work at the "Livio Paladin" room in Palazzo Moroni (Padua City Hall), Via VIII Febbraio, 8 (with entrance in front of Palazzo del Bo).

BY AIR
The nearest airport is VENICE AIRPORT "Marco Polo" at Tessera (Venezia), 40 Km from Padova (Padua).
From the Airport there are frequent bus connections to Padova Bus station (departure and arrival lane no.11 - FSBusItalia), about every 60 minutes. Timetable.pdf
The ticket costs 8,50 € (10€ if bought on board) and can be bought at the ticket office located in the arrival hall or at vending machines at the bus stops; the bus stop is located outside the arrivals hall; the travel time is 1 hour and 10 minutes; get off at "Padova Autostazione".

SHUTTLE SERVICE TO AND FROM VENICE AIRPORT
For participants arriving at Venice Airport, private shuttle services from the Airport to Padova hotels can be booked. The cost per transfer ranges from 31€ to 35€. The cost increases for night arrivals/departures. Reservations must be made at least 24 hrs in advance.

BY TRAIN
Padova is at the crossroad of the Venezia-Milano and Venezia-Roma railways: many trains are available. The ride lasts 30 minutes from Venice, 2 or 3 hours from Milano and 4 to 6 hours from Rome according to the kind of train selected.

Once you reach the Padua Railway Station, the center can be reached on foot in about 10-15 minutes.


BY CAR

Padova can be reached by car on the A4 Milan-Venice Motorway.
For those arriving from the West, take the Padova Ovest exit. From there it is possible to reach the city center in a few minutes by taking road towards Padova and following the indications for Padova- Centro città.
For to arriving from the East, you can exit at Padova Est and follow the signs for Padova-Centro città.

For those arriving from the South, the A13 Motorway ends at the entrance to the South Ring Road wich quickly leads to the different areas of the city.

ATTENTION: in Padua city centre there is a ZTL zone, an area in which car traffic is restricted. From 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. no car traffic can enter the central streets, unless the car has a special permit allowing it. Special signs indicate the ZTL zone.
