How to reach Lecce

By car:

From Rome, take A1 highway, towards Naples, and then A16 or A14, direction Bari. From Milan, take A14 highway, towards Bari. Once in Bari, take the road SS16 towards Brindisi-Lecce.

 

By train:

The train station is very close to the Lecce center. Visit www.trenitalia.com for timetables, costs and for buying tickets.

 

By plane:

The closest airport to Lecce is in Brindisi (45 km from Lecce) which is served by Alitalia,  EasyJet, Ryanair and other low cost air companies.

The airport of Bari also offers many other direct connections to Italian and European cities.

  • FROM BRINDISI AIRPORT

 

- A public transportation (SITA) from/to the airport of Brindisi is available by coaches (5 euros). The bus stops at the Lecce City Terminal, at the entrance of Lecce, close to the Tiziano Hotel. Notice that this service is scheduled in time combination with Alitalia flights.

- An air shuttle service directly to the hotels in Lecce is provided by the travel agency "CRUSI". The cost of the service is about 20 €/per person.

- Finally, taxi service is available at the airport  but it's really expensive (about 100-120 €) or you can also rent a car in the airport and follow directions to Lecce.

 

  • FROM BARI AIRPORT

 

Bari airport is about 150 km far from Lecce. You can take a bus (timetable  http://www.amtabservizio.it ) from the airport to the central train station (last stop) and then a train to Lecce (visit www.trenitalia. for timetables).
