Department of Physics and Earth Sciences University of Ferrara Polo Scientifico e Tecnologico Via Saragat 1 44122 Ferrara - Italy
Description
The Summer School in Nuclear Physics and Technologies is an educational training dedicated to the applications of nuclear and radiation Physics, addressed to students having at least a bachelor degree in one of the following disciplines: Physics, Earth Science, Environmental Sciences, Engineering, Mathematics, Informatics, Chemistry and Astronomy.

Thanks to the support provided by the
Ferrara Section of the National Institute of Nuclear Physics (INFN), students attending the Summer School will participate to didactic activities and will have the opportunity of visiting the Gran Sasso National Laboratories (LNGS) and the TRIGA Research Reactor in Pavia.

The scope of the Summer School is to introduce frontier technologies and topics in the field of Nuclear Physics. A particular focus will be dedicated to technological advancements and applications in the research and development sectors which are most relevant in the international panorama (e.g. homeland security, raw materials, Naturally Occurring Radioactive Materials, sustainable agriculture...).

The presence of stakeholders and the possibility of being introduced to future PhD programs makes the Summer School the ideal playground for young people motivated to continue their studies in the field of applied nuclear Physics.
