Tourism in Syracuse

All the Sicily is rich of landmarks and monuments. Its hosts seven  World Heritage UNESCO cultural sites:
1) Archaeological Area of Agrigento
2) Villa Romana del Casale
3) Isole Eolie (Aeolian Islands) 
4) Late Baroque Towns of the Val di Noto (South-Eastern Sicily): Caltagirone, Militello Val di Catania, Catania, Modica, Noto, Palazzolo, Ragusa and Scicli
5) Mount Etna 
6) Arab-Norman Palermo and the Cathedral Churches of Cefalú and Monreale 
and
7) Syracuse and the Rocky Necropolis of Pantalica
 
Syracuse is a historic city, located on the east coast of Sicily and was originally a Greek colony founded by Corinth in 733 - 734 BCE. This year shall run 2750 years from its foundation. The city is notable for its rich Greek  history, culture, amphitheatres, architecture, mythology and as the birthplace of the preeminent mathematician and engineer Archimedes.
