Description
Jagiellonian Positron Emission Tomograph (J-PET) is the first PET scanner based on plastic scintillator strips. J-PET detector was constructed to perform medical examinations and to make tests of fundamental principles of physics. Together with the positronium target system it enables to measure expectation values for the discrete symmetries odd operators and amount of the entanglement in the three-photon system originating from the ortho-positronium. During the seminar I will present detector and method of its calibration and will report on the first experimental data taking campaign.
