Travel Information

Workshop transportation

You can reach the LHCb-FU2017 Workshop venue in the following ways:

• By plane to Pisa airport, and then using the workshop bus provided.
• By train to Piombino Marittima, ferry-boat to Portoferraio. A meeting shuttle will be available upon request to connect participants to the meeting site from the Portoferraio harbour.
• By car to Piombino, ferry-boat to Portoferraio, a short drive to La Biodola (10km). Since parking is limited at the Hotel Hermitage, we encourage participants to use the meeting buses as much as possible. 

Workshop bus will connect the Workshop site to Pisa Airport "Galileo Galilei" (PSA). Below you find a final schedule:

Sunday, May 28^th: destination Hotel Hermitage

• from Pisa airport at 15:45
  The meeting point for participants is at the International Arrivals gate, in the main hall of the airport (see the map)

There will be somebody of the Organizing Committee waiting for you about at the meeting point about one hour before the workshop bus departure.
We are able to wait for the flight from Rome FCO expected to land at 15.35 and also the flight from Amsterdam expected at 15:40, in case some participants will be travelling on that flights.

Wednesday, May 31^st: origin Hotel Hermitage

• to Pisa airport at 13:00 (expected arrival at 17:00)

Connections between Portoferraio harbour and the workshop venue can be organized on request.
