Description
We consider a prototypical long range interacting system. The system is composed by N-components classical spins on a lattice of general dimension d. The interaction between the spins decays with the distance as a power law. We introduce a low energy effective action with a non analytic power of the momenta to describe the critical behavior. As a function of the exponent governing the decay law of the interaction, we show this model to have three different regimes, two where it has peculiar long range critical properties and one where short range universality is restored.
