Abstract:
Utilizing the recent Pierre Auger Observatory results on the Ultra High Energy Cosmic Rays, I will highlight the ''hardness problem'' for the intrinsic spectrum required. A potential resolution to this problem will be put forward. Connected to this, the issue of the over-contribution from extragalactic cosmic rays to the isotropic gamma-ray background will also be highlighted.
