Description
The Electron-Ion Collider (EIC) is a project in the US aiming for start of physics in the mid-2020's.
Jefferson Lab EIC (JLEIC) is one of the two proposed realization of the EIC and would use the
existing 12 GeV CEBAF accelerator as a full energy injector. Attention has been paid to optimize the
JLEIC accelerator, interaction region, and detector concepts for EIC physics measurements.
I will describe the JLEIC design, with particular emphasis on diffractive measurements and forward detectors.
