Description
Since September 21st 2015 Multi-Turn Extraction (MTE) has become an operational extraction mode at CERN, used to deliver proton beam for the SPS fixed-target physics program. The evolution of the MTE performance will be reviewed, including the major steps that allowed the recent milestone. The attempts to extend the use of non-linear beam dynamics in circular accelerators have been pursued and recently new applications have been proposed or are under study. These new options will be discussed in detail.
