Description
In this talk I will give an overview of the current status of string cosmology, with particular emphasis on effective actions of string compactifications, moduli stabilization and inflation. Following up, I will report on recent progress in higher-derivative supergravity and present new corrections to the effective action of type IIB flux compactifications. These new terms are of phenomenological interest and, in particular, prove useful both for inflation as well as moduli stabilization.
