Description
The three key Scientific programs of the future largest gamma-ray observatory are: - understanding the origin of cosmic rays and their role in the Universe; - understanding the nature and variety of particle acceleration around black holes; - searching for the ultimate nature of matter and physics beyond the Standard Model. The CTA potential in this field is enormous. Some selected scientific cases, connected with the activities on the construction of the Small-Size Telescope, will be discussed together with the impact of this construction activities also for future generation of Cherenkov Telescopes.
