PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION IN VENICE
THE MOST CONVENIENT SOLUTION IS THE TOURIST CARD called VENEZIAUNICA.Multiple day travelcards and discounted tickets for "VeneziaUnica Card" holders are available. For detailed information on tickets please visit the ACTV website. The prices are:
20 € - 1 day travel card
30 € - 2 day travel card
40 € - 3 day travel card
60 € - 7 day travel card
72 € - 7 day travel card + bus return ticket from/to Marco Polo Airport
At the baggage claim hall in Venice Airport there is a ticket office whre you can get information about VENEZIAUNICA and buy the cards.
When you arrive to the airport you can follow these indications.

FROM MARCO POLO AIRPORT TO VENICE CITY
The nearest airport is the Marco Polo Airport in Venice. Other airport near Venice is in Treviso.
From the Venice Airport, you can choose the following options to reach San Servolo:
1. Bus Connections to Piazzale Roma
1.1. by ATVO. You can check the timetable from this link. The cost is 8,00 € for ticket.
1.2. by ACTV BUS N° 5-AeroBus. This orange bus runs every half hour. It takes around 20/25 minutes to get Piazzale Roma from the Arport. The last bus leaves at 1.10 am.

2. Waterbus SERVICE to San Marco Square
2.1. ALILAGUNA offers a service that goes from the airport to San Marco Square. The crossing takes about 1 hour and 10 minutes. You can find the route here. The average price for this travel is around € 15,00 and can be purchased at the ALILAGUNA taxi stand at the arrival hall (opening hours: from 7.45 am to 12.00 pm, see here).
From San Marco boat stop you walk to the San Zaccaria boat stop to take the vaporetto line 20 to San Servolo.
FROM PIAZZALE ROMA TO SAN SERVOLO
There are several choices from Piazzale Roma to San Servolo. You can walk for 2 KMs to San Marco Square OR take either the n°1, n°51, n°41, n°61 or n°82 boat, direction "Lido", and get off at "San Zaccaria" boat stop.
From here turn right for 150 m, cross the bridge "della Pietà" and you'll find the boat stop called "San Zaccaria Monumento" (or San Zaccaria MVE) on your right . Here you take the boat line n°20 (public transport) that connects Venice with San Servolo.

From the reilway station Santa Lucia take the water bus n° 1, n° 5.1, n° 5.2 or n°2, directed to Lido and get off at San Zaccaria. From here move to the S.Zaccaria – M.V.E. bus stop to take line 20 to San Servolo (it may takes 10 minutes).
ARRIVING BY CAR
If you bring a car to Venice, you will have to pay for a garage during your stay. There are two options for parking at "Piazzale Roma", either in the Municipal Garages which cost € 26.00, or at the private Garage San Marco (next door) which costs € 30.00 both for 24 hours.
To reach the Tronchetto parking area, as you come into Venice, follow the signs and turn right before "Piazzale Roma". Parking costs around € 21.00 for 24 hours.
Another solution is to park your car in front of the train station in Mestre. Parking here costs much less (around € 5.00 - 8.00 per day), and there are frequent trains and buses (see ACTV web site for Bus nº 2) between Mestre and Venice-Piazzale Roma.
