Description
The hunt for dark matter is certainly one of the most pressing quest of modern physics: its existence seems to be a fundamental need because of its simple and clever way to solve astrophysical and cosmological problems. AMS-02 is running since more than four years: a powerful apparatus for dark matter searches has been set-up, in order to study the important antiparticle to particle ratios and cosmic leptons and nuclei spectra, up to the TeV scale. Fundamental papers dedicated to leptonic and hadronic physics have been recently published. The unprecedented precision of AMS-02 data permits to greatly reduce the astrophysical uncertainties which affect CR propagation, allowing to study CR anomalies and highlight new phenomena, to corroborate or falsify present DM theories and to explore the TeV-ish dark matter scenario opportunities. The state-of-art of the DM search will be presented, with particular emphasis on current dark matter knowledge and prejudices, and space search strategies.
