Description

The aim of this talk will be to give a pedagogical introduction to the key features of higher-spin theories. The main focus will be placed on unfolded formalism (a first order reformulation of dynamics) and in particular on the role of the Moyal star product in this framework. I will concentrate on the example of the scalar field to illustrate the main ideas. At the end of the talk I will also discuss the detailed dictionary between the first order unfolded formalism and the more standard Fronsdal equations.
