The goal of this lecture is to show the general approach and basic of necessity to use radiopharmaceuticals for diagnosis and therapy in human medicine. Emphasis is placed on:
  1. Properties of radioisotopes used for patients for diagnostic and therapeutic purpose and for the reason of usage
  2. Pharmaceutical approach of radiopharmaceuticals
  3. Mechanism of localization of radiopharmaceuticals – general approach and radiobiological aspects
  4. All good practices involved in Radiopharmacy
To have an optimal information and understanding for this field that include an appropriate blending of the clinical sciences with multiple basic sciences is step forward for their own worldwide recognition.
