Satoshi Iso (KEK): QCD-Electroweak first order phase transition in supercooled universe

Europe/Rome
Description
If the electroweak sector of the standard model is described by a classically conformal dyanamics, the early universe evolution can be substantially altered. A 1st order QCD phase transiton with 6 massless quarks occurs first, which then triggers the electroweak phase transition. I explain the necessary conditions for the scenario to occur and then potentially rich cosmological consequences such as renewed possibilities of electroweak baryogenesis, altered dark matter production, and gravitational wave production.
